![]() The new VF theme is quite well executed imo – but conceptually we are lingering in a twilight zone which is also expressed e.g in the Continent map campaign when a Province ower states something like: This is only a Virtual Castle, why even bother to attack?. Get a bite of China´s growing middleclass and gamers or part of the Janpanese gaming markets can mean a huge rasie in the revenues of an already existing game.įor my part FoE can stay in the Virtual Future as long as they want – as long as they have the gutts to in fact take some concepctual chances down the road and not only interpret with a very classical approach. Take Starcraft as an example and the continued interest in a country like South Korea. Secondary I am quite convinced, wihtout having any backup what so ever, that InnoGames is looking very much into the expanding and growing Asian markets. The quite brilliant move from Inno´s side on this is that in a Virtual Future nearly any historic interpretation can be made and it has literally started that way – The VF is rooted in classic Asian dogmas and ideas, Ninjas, Dojo, Terracotta etc. The first couple of "Future" or Past Contemporary Eras was inspired by fairly reasonoble and/or popular predictions of the Human future on the planet and now with Virtual Future we have essentially arrived back in the nearly presents of today with VR ar AR slowly being implemented in various platforms and media + the addition of Cyper Currencies – these are not Future but Present. FoE was based in the classic historic timeline of human history. ![]() The thing is that deep in the heart of InnoGames they like History related concepts much more than Future orientated concepts (this can have various reasons on which I will not specualate). This has been debated many times over the last couple of years.Īny suggestions to go for an interstellar concept was so far officially denied. ![]()
